Film Posters
1. The big 5 major Hollywood studios are Walt Disney Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures and Columbia Pictures.
2. The main aim of a film marketing campaign is to connect to the audience and get them excited to watch the film, and buy tickets to see it.
3. Some common techniques include posters, trailers, social media, behind the scenes and collaborations with other brands.
4. A poster should include the release date, credits, the films title, images of the characters.
5. Teaser posters contain small pieces of information to get the audience excited. whereas theatrical posters provide more information, to make the audience want to watch it.
6. A recent film franchise includes Marvel.

In this poster, it is obvious as to who the main characters are. We can see this as James bond is the largest character there, so he is clearly the focus, and the protagonist. The serif font hints to the film's genre, as it has connotations of formality, linking to bond's occupation as a spy.

James Bond is male and much larger than the rest of the characters, this shows that he is much more important than the other characters.
There is gender equality in how many men and how many women there are, however the men are still mostly bigger, further showing their importance.

Production and distribution companies are shown.
No actor names, as Bond's name is most likely bigger than Daniel Craig's. Furthermore, Daniel Craig is already known as James Bond, so clarification is not needed.
Mise en Scene
All characters have serious facial expressions. This shows that they are professional, telling us that the film and narrative is very serious; not funny / a comedy.
They are all wearing formal, mature, professional clothes, fitting with the genre target audience.
Rural, mountainous settings as well as a city and a flaming car. These show where the film will take place and shows that it will be an exciting film.

b) Mise-En-Scene [5]
Mise en scene has been used in the no Time To Die poster to communicate meaning in numerous ways. For example, this can be seen by the outfit's that the characters are wearing. They are all wearing dark costumes, which has connotations of violence, death and mystery. These can be used to show the audience that the movie will be of an action genre. Furthermore, the fact that they are all in formal outfits gives a sense of seriousness to the poster, which has connotations of spies. Overall, these show that the film is a spy-action genre.

- 'Bond Girls' were sexualised love interests for Bond, and insignificant to the plot.
- Craig's Bond is not as Sexist or stereotypical.

2. The females are represented to be strong, powerful and independant. ✅
3. The representations of ethnicity are seen less, as most characters are white, however the one black character (Nomi) is shown to be powerful. ✅
4. Age is represented as the same for each character. Older - wiser, in control - calm.

Man With the Golden Gun Film Poster and Media Language Analysis
L/O: To analyse the film poster for key elements of media language.
- Released in 1974.
- It was Roger Moore's second appearance as bond.
- It was based on a book by Ian Fleming, and produced by EON.
- The film had a budget of about $7 million and grossed over $97 Million at the box office.
- There was a large popularity around the martial arts genre, and so to reflect this, it was predominantly filmed in Asia, and featured many Kung Fu scenes.
- The poster was illustrated by Robert McGinnis.
- There was an energy crisis in 1973, which is hinted at through the power plant, and energy beam at Bond.
